The New World: Your Questions Answered

With our latest developer blog, we shared more insight into the New World coming to YoWorld and how it’s shaping up. We’ve loved seeing the conversations, ideas, and great questions coming from the community. We’ve put together this FAQ to help address some of the most common topics and points you’ve raised.
The name of the New World is still being decided, and the community is actively voting as we speak! For now, we’ll simply refer to it as the “New World” until a final name has been chosen by the community. When we say “Classic World,” we mean the YoWorld you already know and love, the one you can log into and play right now.
Q1. Will the Classic World continue to receive support after the New World launches?
Unequivocally yes. The Classic World will continue to receive ongoing support and content after the launch of the New World. Our player support team will also remain in place to assist Classic World players and respond to support tickets, just as they do today.
That said, one of the advantages of the New World is its newer, more flexible platform built on Unity. Because of this, brand-new features and larger technical improvements will primarily be developed for the New World moving forward.
Q2. Will the avatars and art style change?
Style? No. Quality? Yes, definitely! The New World’s platform allows for higher resolution and improved visual fidelity. . . trust us, YoWorld has never looked so good! We’re committed to keeping the look and feel of the YoWorld you already know and love, keeping the lovely bobblehead style Yos, while giving it a sharper, more refined polish. Stay tuned to the developer blog for updates, we will be releasing an upcoming article showing off the new and improved graphics in the near future!
Q3. Can I go back and forth between the Classic World and the New World?
Yes you can! Players will be able to access the New World from the Classic World. And they can return to the Classic World at any time.
Q4. Will I be able to bring my Classic World items with me to the New World?
Classic content will be coming to the New World. . . eventually! At our last count, there are over 500,000 different items in the Classic World. Packing that many items into a moving van is no small feat!
Getting these items ready for the New World’s upgraded platform is a complex technical process, but our team is working hard to bring them over. This will happen in batches over time, and we’ll be asking you, our wonderful community, to help us decide which content batches should get priority. Some Classic World items, like some broken Zynga-era items, may not make the trek across the seas, but will remain in the Classic World for those who still wish to collect them.
Q5. Can I bring my currency, like YoCoins and YoCash, to the New World?
The economy in the Classic World has experienced a lot of inflation, while the New World economy is still in its infancy. We are still in the process of figuring out if and how Classic World currency will work in the New World. We may have some questions for YoFans surrounding this topic in the future, so stay tuned!
Q6. If I make a purchase on the Classic World, will I get it in the New World?
As we mentioned in our Classic World items section, moving items into the New World is a careful process that takes time. Our team is actively exploring the best ways to make this happen, and we’ll keep the community updated as we progress.
Q7. Can I bring my New World items back to the Classic World?
Because the New World is built on a new platform with upgraded graphics and features, the content in the New World is not directly backwards compatible with the Classic World. However, the team is exploring ways for players in the New World to show off some of their new, impressive items in the Classic World too!
Q8. What about Classic World features such as Auctions and Events, will I be able to use those in the New World?
When the New World launches in Early Access, our goal is to get it into your hands as soon as possible. Some features may not be fully available during this period, but we have plans to build and improve them using YoFan-suggested ideas!
