First Look: Inside the YoTopia Towers Lobby

A few weeks back, we took you inside an apartment in YoTopia Towers. Today, we step out your front door for the first time. Let's head down to the lobby.
Inside The YoTopia Towers Lobby
The YoTopia Towers lobby is a brand new area, and it's where every trip out of your apartment begins. Step out your front door, ride down the elevator, and you arrive here on your way out to the town.
It's also where the community comes together. Meet up with friends. Run into the neighbour from down the hall. Stop by the front desk to pick up packages, browse who else lives in the Towers, and discover new apartments to visit.
The lobby is just the start of what we have planned for YoTopia Towers. A swimming pool? A fitness center? A rooftop deck? Lounges and amenity spaces designed around the things you actually want to do with your friends? As we build out YoTopia Towers, we'll keep asking which spaces you want to see first. This is your building. You're going to drive where it goes.
Your Concierge Has Been Hired
Back in Blog 8, we asked you to help us design the concierge NPC for the lobby. You sent in submissions, our team narrowed it down to four finalists, and then you voted.
The race was tight. Every one of these four candidates could have gotten the job. But one of them pulled ahead with 35.5% of the vote: Yolanda!
Meet your concierge: Yolanda
Peppy, energetic, knowledgeable, and always ready to welcome you home. Yolanda is a permanent part of this world. Designed by your community, voted on by your community, and built into YoTopia forever. What you're seeing today is her character design. Our art team is bringing her into the engine now, and she'll be standing in the Towers lobby in-game soon.
A huge shoutout to Jami for the winning submission, and to Duchess SueCLavery, Jase, and EBony for bringing such creative finalists to the table.
A special shoutout to Winston Yosworth. 18.7% of you really wanted a sharp-dressed gentleman at the front desk, and we don't blame you. He won't be running the Towers, but his story might not be over. Maybe Winston finds work somewhere else in YoTopia someday.
Beyond the Greeting
Yolanda is more than a friendly face. She's the first NPC built on YoTopia's new dialogue and interaction system, which goes well beyond what Classic YoWorld could do.
Branching dialogue. The new system lets NPCs hold real conversations. Ask about today's events, ask about the building, ask for directions. Each choice leads somewhere different, and over time, NPCs can respond to who you are and what you've done.
A foundation for quests and achievements. The same system is the groundwork for the questing and achievement features we're building. Down the line, NPCs across YoTopia will send you on small adventures, track your progress, and reward your effort.
Every NPC you help us design becomes a node in this system. You aren't just naming characters. You're building the cast of YoTopia.
VIP Exclusive: Design The Next YoTopia NPC
You hired the concierge. Now it's time to design and name the next YoTopian.
The Town Square is filling up. Soon it'll have regulars: familiar faces who turn a place into a community, locals who are there every time you stop by. The ones hanging around the fountain, chatting on a bench, somehow always knowing what's going on. Not staff. Not strangers. Just YoTopians who call the square home.
Your mission: design one of them. Give them a name, a personality, a look. Retired chatterbox, fellow new arrival, longtime local who knows every shortcut. Your call.

- Submit a name and personality for your new YoTopian
We'll bring four finalists to life and send them back for a vote next week. The winner debuts at the Town Square reveal the week after, becoming a fixture of the square from that day on.
