First Look: Building the YoTopia Town Square With You
Hey YoFans!
Two weeks ago, we showed you the YoTopia Towers lobby, introduced you to Yolanda, and asked you to design your next YoTopian. You showed up in a big way. The submissions poured in. Names, personalities, full character designs. Our team had a hard time narrowing it down to five finalists, and last week we put them to your vote.
The results are in.
And the winner is...
With 30% of the vote, the winner is Gracie, designed and submitted by AliCat.
Gracie is a fellow new arrival in YoTopia. She's been exploring every corner of the new continent and already knows the lay of the land better than most. A chatterbox who's also a great listener. The kind of YoTopian who's up for a night out at a dance club or an afternoon at a backyard BBQ, and who'll show up with stories, jokes, and real interest in yours. Funny, warm, and full of life. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've lived here for years even on your first day.
Congratulations to AliCat for the winning submission, and a huge thank you to every VIP who designed, submitted, and voted. Your fingerprints are all over the cast of YoTopia.

Step Outside into the Town Square
Now let's walk through the lobby doors.
Welcome to the YoTopia Town Square. A fountain at the center. Open paths leading out in every direction with greenery and room to breathe.
We want to be upfront: this is not the final version. What you see today is the foundation. The bones. We wanted to lay the groundwork that lets us bring you here, and then build it up with you from here.
The Town Square is going to be YoTopia's social hub. The place you meet up with friends, run into neighbours, and host the kind of big hang-outs Classic could never quite fit. The new engine lets us put a lot more YoFans in one space at one time, and we plan to use every bit of it.
While reading through your VIP submissions, the patterns kept jumping out. Cafes. Ice cream parlors. Dance clubs. Bowling alleys. Pet shops. Music venues. Plant shops. Bistros. Arcades. Player-run market stalls. Gazebos, benches, fountains, pools. You already know what this place needs.
Over the coming weeks and months, we'll be adding new decorations, new buildings, new vendors, new shops, new paths. Some from your wishlist. Some from ours. All of it landing on the foundation we just laid.
New Ways to Interact
The new engine isn't just letting us build new spaces. It's letting us build new ways to interact with them. To start, we wanted to show you something small but kind of special.
A coin in the fountain. A simple thing in real life. The fountain reacts. The water responds. This is the kind of thing the new engine opens up. Interactions that respond to you. Objects that react in real time. A world that isn't just decoration. We have a lot more of these coming, and we're saving the best for the spaces that need them most.
VIP Exclusive: Design the Beach NPC
You hired the concierge. You hired your Town Square YoTopian. Next stop: the beach.
This week, we're asking you to design the YoTopian who welcomes you to the YoTopia beach. The first face you see when you step off the boat from YoTown. A guide, a greeter, a local who lives by the water. Your call.
